THE MAIN INTERVENTION AREAS OF HARM REDUCTION PROJECTS (WITH SPECIFICITIES TO EACH KIND OF STRUCTURE) ARE:
To address people where they are (mainly through outreach work);
To inform / to make people aware of harm reduction and damage limitation;
Motivational work to make choices to a better quality of life (change risk patterns);
Screening of infectious diseases;
Follow-up and /or referral to more structured treatment programmes and other social and health services.
